Training: Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance

Ballet career: Malachi Spaulding was a soloist at the Vienna Festival Ballet where he performed in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Coppelia. He also taught on the Royal Ballet’s Chance to Dance outreach programme.

Dance career: Spaulding performed in The Lion King in the West End. He also danced with Irie Dance Theatre and artists like Peter Badejo, the late Jackie Guy and H. Patten. In 1992, he became the founder and Artistic Director of the Shanturia Dance Theatre, a performance/workshop company in 1992. He also teaches in schools and the local community.
