Black British Ballet

Island Movements in the news!

Our debut ballet, Island Movements, featured on ITV Evening News in October! The story included interviews with our creative team at our Royal Opera House show on 27 October.

Other media highlights includes a feature on BBC Radio Wiltshire’s Manny Masih and a piece on our Newcastle show by ITV Tyne Tees.

The Stage also interviewed Dr. Sandie Bourne about the wider project:

The project is about ballet history and Black history and heritage. It’s about world history; it’s about our existence. As a Black British person, we have so many stories that haven’t been told and need to be told in ballets.
